Hosea Wk. 10 ()
Ryan Wyatt, June 28, 2026Part of the Hosea - A Living Sermon of God's Love series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
In Hosea 10:1–15, Israel’s blessing had become a platform for self-glory instead of a reason for worship. What God had given them was meant to be returned to Him in faithfulness, but they used His gifts to build themselves up. Their fruitfulness became self-focused, their words became empty, and their dependence shifted from the Lord to what He had provided.
This sermon walks through the danger of being filled with ourselves and reminds us that every blessing is a stewardship, not a possession. God gives so we return glory to Him, removes to reveal what we are truly depending on, and shows us the consequences of sin so we can see our need for restoration.
The good news is that Christ does not come to make people less human. He comes to restore what sin has damaged and bring us back to the foundation only He can provide.
