We Are A Church That Believes in Serving

Because  the love of reaching others that has been inborn in our own body, since we are a mission church, Church 213 believes in being a giving, sending, sharing church.  The Purpose Statement of our Mission Ministry is “to share, love, teach and grow disciples of Christ from across the street to around the world.”  Our Church 213 Mission Team plans and organizes mission opportunities for those interested in serving one day or two weeks, locally or abroad.

2020 Missions

Mission Trip to Guyana – “Go Guyana”

Pastor Ryan Wyatt will be leading a mission team in July to minister to the community of Georgetown and surrounding areas, while training leaders in outreach, evangelism and kids ministry.

Georgia War Veterans Home – The Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville, houses veterans from the state of Georgia that have seen combat with our nation’s military. Each year we provide a themed “Thank You Party” for their service providing goodie bags, food, and fellowship.

M & M Ministry – July is M&M Month around Church 213! Each day during the month, random acts of kindness are carried out by the members of the church to show Christ’s love to the people of our area. Watch out for the sign-ups during June and get involved in making someone’s day!



Ongoing Opportunities

Battered Women’s Shelter – Throughout the year we offer opportunities for you to donate
items for different projects. i.e.: Valentine’s Day we provided, “A Gift of Love” treat bags which
included: candy, gift cards, devotionals, etc. Email Marie Botkin at [email protected]  for more




Homeless Shelter – Church 213 provides cooks for the Garden of Gethsemane Homeless Shelter in Covington every second and fourth Wednesday of the month, between 4:30pm – 6:00pm. The shelter provides the food, we just provide the manpower. Cooks are needed! If you can assist with this ministry

SerPA Service People Appreciation Ministry – Care packages, cards of love, and ongoing prayers are a part of this ministry for our soldiers from Church 213.




Nursing Home Ministry – A new ministry is forming for the Riverside Nursing Home in Covington. Our initial project for the nursing home will be to provide adult coloring books and coloring pencils for the residents. Look for more projects to be a part of throughout the year.






Newton Pregnancy Resource Center – Church 213 contributes monthly to support the Newton County Pregnancy Resource Center and provides focuses to help fund the program. During the months of May to June we participate in the Baby Bottle Fundraiser Campaign and provide a giving time during
the Christmas season.

PSALM Ministry – Do you have a heart for the First Responders of our Community?

The PSALM Ministry provides layperson support as well as pastoral chaplaincy for the police and firefighters of Newton County.



Missionary Support – Christian Johnston has served on the mission field in Poland for several years and his parents are members of Church 213.
